Spring Hockey
Spring hockey is a combination of pond-hockey style scrimmage and skill building for the 8U and older age divisions. It provides an opportunity for kids in these age divisions to try some new things and experiment with their style of play in a less structured environment than regular season practices.
The 8U group will participate in station-based, small area games and drills and then finish out each session with scrimmages. The sessions for the older age groups (10U and older) will be pond hockey style.
Kids are permitted to skate with their age-appropriate division for the 2023-24 or the 2024-25 season. For example, a player that was in their second year of 10U play by birth year may register for the 12U division for spring hockey, so they can adjust to the differences in play between the age division they were in this season and the age division they will be in next season.
Spring hockey is all about having fun and learning a little along the way!
